Tips & Suggestions
- Some of our designs
are thick with stitches. Keep this in mind when choosing your fabric
and stabilizer to prevent buckling. Most of our stitchouts were done
on a medium weight twill with a heavy cut-away stabilizer.
- Pre-Stitch a demo
of the design using the same fabric prior to stitching it directly onto
a garment or accessory. Please note that Esque Embroidery, LLC is not
responsible for goods damaged from embroidering them with our designs.
- Some believe that
the rule of thumb when editing a design is that you can upsize or downsize
a design by 20% and the design will be fine. We do not suggest downsizing
the more intricate designs as they are very detailed and downsizing
may cause some serious distortion of the design. Also if you are upsizing,
be careful that you do not go over your hoop size and if the design
contains satin stitching, upsizing can cause extremely wide stitches
which will be loose in your final outcome.
- Some of the intricate
designs have a lot of jump-stitches. Although we tried to keep the number
of jump-stitches down to a minimum, in some cases it was not possible
due to the complexity of the design. We suggest that you clip your jump
stitches in-between color changes for best results. Make sure that your
embroidery scissors are sharpened for cutting jump stitches so that
you don’t get any annoying “whispies” in your final
stitchout.
- Make sure that
you are hooping your fabric and stabilizer correctly according to your
machine’s specifications. Otherwise, it could cause many problems
during the stitch-out process and distort your final outcome.
- Always make sure
that you are purchasing the correct file format for your machine. Each
brand machine requires certain file formats to stitch a design. Our
designs are available as either a .PES or a .ART
Make sure that your machine is able to read 1 of these 2 file formats.
(Please note there are no refunds for incorrect file format selection)
